Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with French President Emmanuel Macron in New York.

The talks took place at the residence of the Permanent Representative of France to the UN.
Before meeting with the French leader, Zelenskyy held talks with U.S. congressmen. He thanked them for passing a bill imposing sanctions against Russia.
On the eve of his meeting with Zelenskyy, Macron held talks with U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to Macron, Ukraine and France must join forces to secure a moratorium on attacks on Ukraine’s energy and civilian infrastructure.
"The civilian population must be protected, and we must begin serious negotiations on the terms of peace between Russia and Ukraine as soon as possible," the French president said.
The meeting between Zelenskyy and Macron took place on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
