Macron called for providing Ukraine with more interceptor missiles ahead of winter
French President Emmanuel Macron stated that France will continue to support Ukraine and help protect the civilian population and energy infrastructure from Russian attacks. He also called for more interceptor missiles to be provided to Ukraine ahead of winter.
According to Censor.NET, Macron made this statement during the general debate of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

According to the French president, France will continue to support Ukraine and work to facilitate the start of substantive negotiations between Ukraine and Russia.
"We must protect Ukrainians more than ever. As winter approaches, we must protect them on the energy front. We must provide them with more interceptor missiles and protect the civilian population," Macron said.
The French president also proposed implementing a so-called "double moratorium." This refers to a halt to attacks on energy and civilian infrastructure, as well as to hostilities in the Black Sea.
According to Macron, this could make it possible to resume grain shipments and address food security challenges.
France has called for accountability for crimes
Macron also mentioned the "Coalition of the Willing," established in partnership with the United Kingdom, which brings together countries committed to ensuring peace and stability in Europe.
Speaking about the overall situation in the world, the French president spoke of the return of imperialism and the use of force without regard for the rules. According to him, certain states are attempting to undermine the international order, expand their borders, and deprive nations of the right to determine their own destiny.
Macron also stated that France will continue to support international mechanisms for gathering evidence and establishing accountability for crimes.
"There can be no peace without justice. We cannot simply accept the new order of impunity that some are trying to establish," the French president emphasized.
He also called for reform of the UN Security Council, specifically its expansion to include new countries and regions, particularly Africa.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with French President Emmanuel Macron in New York.
