Woman from Belgorod has been sentenced to 19 years in general-regime penal colony for allegedly passing on more than 40 coordinates of Russian military facilities to SSU. VIDEO
The Belgorod Regional Court of the Russian Federation has sentenced a local woman to 19 years in a general-regime prison on charges of high treason. Russian security forces claim that she passed on information to the Ukrainian side regarding Russian army units, air defence systems and military hospitals.
According to Censor.NET, Russian media have reported this, citing the FSB office in the Belgorod Region.
According to the Russian investigation, the woman, born in 1991, made contact via Telegram with representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine and passed on information to them about Russian military facilities in the border zone of the Belgorod region.
The FSB claims that the information included the coordinates of Russian army units, photographs and descriptions of personnel and equipment – in particular air defence systems – as well as details of the locations of military hospitals.
According to Russian security officials, the woman passed on a total of more than 40 sets of coordinates for Russian military units to the SSU. The FSB stated that this data was used to carry out drone strikes on Russian army positions.
According to Russian media reports, the woman was detained in October 2025. The case was referred to court on 2 September 2026, and the verdict was handed down on 22 September.
In addition to 19 years’ imprisonment in a general-regime penal colony, the court imposed a fine of 200,000 roubles on the woman and a one-year restriction of liberty.
