Kremlin propagandist Yevich on possible course of war with Ukraine: "I wouldn’t be surprised if enemy burned Moscow to ground". VIDEO
Russian military doctor and propagandist Yuriy Yevich has stated that he does not rule out a large-scale offensive by the Ukrainian Defence Forces into Russian territory, or even a scenario in which hostilities could reach Moscow.
According to Censor.NET, a relevant excerpt from Yevich’s speech has been published online.
Reflecting on the course of the war, the propagandist recalled Napoleon’s campaign against Russia and stated that the current situation could escalate to the point of a large-scale incursion by Ukrainian troops deep into Russian territory.
"I wouldn’t be surprised if it comes to the point where the enemy burns Moscow to the ground, and then we’ll think: blimey, we’ve got to fight for real," Yevich said.
In doing so, he criticised the Russian military and political leadership, as well as society, for what he sees as a failure to mobilise sufficient resources for the war against Ukraine. In his remarks, Yevich effectively paints an apocalyptic scenario for Russians, in which the full scale of the war will only be realised once hostilities have reached the Russian capital itself.
Yuriy Yevich is known for his support of Russian aggression against Ukraine and for having fought on the side of the Russian Federation since 2014.
