Satellite images showing the aftermath of a night-time strike on the Russian military airfield ‘Khanska’ in the Republic of Adygea have appeared online. The images show signs of damage on the airfield’s grounds.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the Telegram channel Exilenova+.
The attack on the airfield took place on the night of 4 October. Following the strike, the Security Service of Ukraine announced the destruction of two Russian combat aircraft – a Su-35 fighter and a Su-34 frontline bomber.
Furthermore, according to the SSU, an ammunition depot on the airfield’s premises was hit.
What can be seen in the satellite images
The satellite images released show signs of damage at the military airfield following the night-time attack.
However, the images themselves do not currently allow for independent confirmation that it was specifically the Su-34 and Su-35 aircraft that were destroyed. The information regarding their loss is based on a statement by the SSU.
