Russian drones attack Turkish vessel carrying grain in international waters: captain killed – Zelenskyy

Russian drones attacked a civilian Turkish vessel carrying corn in international waters.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this on his Telegram channel, Censor.NET reports.
Initial details
"A horrific strike by two Russian drones on a Turkish-owned civilian vessel carrying corn in international waters. Citizens of Azerbaijan and India were on board. As of now, unfortunately, the ship’s captain is confirmed dead. The fate of one other person is still being determined. Eleven crew members were rescued, one of whom is injured," the head of state said.
He recalled that Ukraine had repeatedly proposed concrete steps to de-escalate tensions and ensure security in the Black Sea. According to him, third countries had also made relevant proposals.
"But Russia consistently chooses terror and the sinking of civilian vessels over normal maritime navigation. Pressure is needed to restore global food security. And everyone who is truly interested in this must help," he concluded.
