Russia carries out 4 strikes on Zaporizhzhia energy facilities: 42,000 customers lost power

Russian strikes cut power to 42,000 customers in Zaporizhzhia

Over the past day, Russian occupation forces carried out four strikes on Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo energy facilities in Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by Andrii Stasevskyi, head of Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo PJSC.

"One of the attacks left 42,000 families in the regional capital without power. Supply was restored to everyone in record time, in less than 20 minutes, Zaporizhzhia residents had electricity again. The other strikes did not cause widespread outages, and most importantly, none of our people were injured. Even the most complex equipment can be restored, but life and health are priceless," the company head said.

Russia continues to strike power grids in the Kushuhum community

Yesterday, power engineers once again worked to restore electricity to the Kushuhum community.

"In this area, the fight to keep the lights on has become a continuous, round-the-clock effort. We had only managed to restore power to local residents on Sunday evening when another enemy attack at around 10:30 yesterday morning damaged our grids again and left 3,000 families without electricity. We restored their power within a few hours, but that evening, the ruscists struck the community again. The settlements of Kushuhum and Balabyne are currently without power. As soon as we have a 'window of calm,' we will begin restoration work. Our crews' work is becoming more difficult and dangerous, but I am confident that, with support from the Ministry of Energy and Ukrainian Distribution Grids JSC, the Zaporizhzhia region's energy sector will endure," Stasevskyi said.
