Prisoners are being taken from prison in occupied Makiivka to Russian Federation and forced to sign contracts, - Yellow Ribbon

In the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region, Russian invaders have begun the mass transfer of prisoners from Makiivka Correctional Colony No. 32 to the Russian Federation, with a view to conscripting them into the war against Ukraine.
This has been reported by the ‘Yellow Ribbon’ civil resistance movement, according to Censor.NET.
Details
According to activists, of the approximately 97 prisoners whom the occupying forces had planned to transfer to the territory of the aggressor country, at least 70 have already been taken to remand centres and prisons in Rostov and Tambov.
Before their transfer, the prisoners were given a choice: either to sign a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defence and go to the front as part of assault units, or to go and serve their sentences in Russian prisons.
According to available information, detainees at the Rostov remand centre are subjected to systematic psychological pressure – they are asked several times a day to sign documents to enlist in the Russian Armed Forces. Moreover, Russian documents and contracts are being drawn up even for those detainees who do not hold Russian passports.
Human rights defenders and activists point out that the occupying forces had already been actively using a similar recruitment scheme in Donetsk in the autumn of 2022, when prisoners were recruited en masse into Russian military units and private military companies to make up for losses on the front line.
