Pentagon has ordered U.S. military to prepare to resume strikes against Iran, - Axios

A few days ago, the Pentagon instructed U.S. Central Command to finalize preparations for the resumption of large-scale combat operations against Iran.
Axios reports this, citing U.S. officials, according to Censor.NET.
What is known?
The directive does not specify a specific date for the start of the strikes, and Trump has not yet made any final decisions.
At the same time, U.S. and Israeli sources note that this could happen before the U.S. midterm elections and, possibly, before the Israeli elections, which will take place a week earlier.
If large-scale military operations resume, they are expected to include massive strikes on Iran’s energy infrastructure, other infrastructure facilities, and nuclear targets, according to sources.
A resumption of the war over the next three to four weeks could affect the U.S. midterm elections, particularly due to a possible rise in oil prices.
"The department’s task is to develop and present military options to the president," said a Pentagon spokesperson.
The Atlantic reported on Wednesday that Trump is considering the possibility of striking Iran before the midterm elections.
