"There is particular risk of Russian missile strikes on Ukraine at moment," - Zelenskyy

The threat of a missile strike

Today, 10 October, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, held a telephone conversation with the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.

He announced this on his Telegram channel, according to Censor.NET.

A conversation with Macron

"It was during today’s ballistic attack by Russia on Kyiv that I spoke with the President of France. Thank you, Emmanuel, for your support," Zelenskyy clarified.

According to him, the need for additional air defence packages for Ukraine is clear, and Ukraine is working with all its partners to find appropriate solutions.

The threat of further attacks

"Unfortunately, there remains a particular threat of further missile strikes at the moment. It is important to step up the pressure on Russia in response, and bold, joint action is needed. We discussed the challenges posed by the easing of sanctions on petroleum products. The Russians must feel that they no longer have the capacity to drag out the war. We are coordinating closely and preparing for meetings. Thank you, France!", the Head of State concluded.
