Law enforcement officers uncovered and shut down an illegal scheme involving the import and sale of vehicles brought into Ukraine under the guise of humanitarian aid for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Censor.NET reports this, citing the State Border Guard Service’s press office.

According to investigators, the perpetrator used three charitable foundations under his control to freely import vehicles without paying customs duties. However, instead of handing the vehicles over to the military, the scheme’s organizers listed them for sale on popular online platforms.

In 2026 alone, 71 vehicles were sold through the scheme.

The man was caught "red-handed" while attempting to sell another vehicle. Law enforcement officers seized two more vehicles at his residence.

The suspect has already been formally notified of suspicion. The pretrial investigation is ongoing.
