Europe has enough Patriot missiles for Ukraine to get through winter – Zelenskyy

Europe holds Patriot missiles Ukraine needs for winter, says Zelenskyy

Europe knows how many Patriot missiles Ukraine needs to get through the winter and has those stockpiles.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during a briefing in Brussels, Censor.NET reports.

According to the president, European partners know the minimum number of Patriot missiles needed for the winter package.

"To be honest, all the leaders have this package. Will the Europeans support us? Yes. With how many missiles, I do not yet know. I know some things about certain countries," Zelenskyy said.

Asked whether Europe has enough PAC-2 and PAC-3 missiles for Ukraine to get through the winter, he replied: "Yes, based on the figures I announced for what we would like to receive for the winter."

Background

  • Zelenskyy previously reported that Ukraine had received one-third as many air defence missiles from its partners this year as in 2025, with hostilities in the Middle East cited as the official reason.
  • The Financial Times reported that Trump had refused to provide 300 Patriot missiles to preserve US stockpiles amid the war against Iran. According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine needs 100–120 Patriot missiles per month during the winter.
