There will be sufficient funding to meet needs of Defense Forces through end of 2026, - Koretskyi

Is there enough funding for the Defense Forces through the end of the year? Koretskyi responded

Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi assured that there will be sufficient funding to fully meet the needs of the Defense Forces by the end of 2026.

He made this statement during question time for the government in the Verkhovna Rada, according to Censor.NET.

He was asked whether there would be enough money for the military and weapons through the end of 2026.

"Yes, there will be more than enough money for the Defense Forces. That is the main focus. Everything is being done to ensure this," the head of government noted.

According to Koretskyi, parliamentary involvement is needed to secure macro-financial support from partners.

"Because the week before last yielded good results—laws were passed that give us confidence that at least 4 billion euros will be received in November. But the total need is about 29 billion euros. The government has fulfilled all its obligations, which also accounts for the lion’s share of the revenue planned for November.

However, there are still complex bills pending in parliament that must be voted on no later than next week’s session. If this is delayed, then, unfortunately, the funds will not be received this year. And there will be a problem with payments, particularly regarding resilience plans and the like.

"But there is no threat to payments for the Armed Forces. I guarantee that we will cover absolutely all expenditures," he concluded.
