Most intense fighting continues in Kostiantynivka sector, with total of 168 combat engagements across front – General Staff
A total of 168 combat engagements have taken place along the front since the start of the day. The Defence Forces countered the most enemy assaults in the Kostiantynivka sector – 18.
This is stated in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s update on the frontline situation as of 10:00 p.m. on October 30, Censor.NET reports.
Russian strikes on Ukraine
The enemy carried out two missile strikes and 48 airstrikes, dropping 172 guided aerial bombs. It also deployed 4,506 kamikaze drones and carried out 1,535 shelling attacks on settlements and Ukrainian troop positions.
Situation in the north
In the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk sectors, the occupiers have carried out three airstrikes, used seven guided aerial bombs and conducted 104 shelling attacks on Ukrainian troop positions and settlements since the start of the day.
Situation in Kharkiv region
In the Southern Slobozhanskyi sector, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions eight times towards Ternova, Mala Vovcha and Radkivka, and in the areas of Vovchanski Khutory, Okhrimivka, Sheviakivka and Putnykove. One of these attacks is still ongoing.
According to the General Staff, the enemy conducted no assault operations in the Kupiansk sector.
Fighting in the east
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian defenders countered nine attempts by the invaders to advance towards Druzheliubivka and in the areas of Nadiia, Myrne, Zarichne, Lyman and Dibrova. Two attacks are ongoing.
In the Sloviansk sector, the Defence Forces stopped two attempts by the invaders to advance towards Pyskunivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy conducted no assault operations.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the Defence Forces countered 18 enemy assaults in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Sofiivka and Vilne, and towards Zolotyi Kolodiaz. Four combat engagements are ongoing.
The enemy carried out 14 attacks in the Pokrovsk sector. The occupiers attempted to advance near Novyi Donbas, Bilytske, Krasnopodillia, Dobropillia and Molodetske, and towards Serhiivka. One battle is ongoing.
According to preliminary estimates, 38 occupiers were killed and 12 wounded in this sector today. Four vehicles and 41 shelters were destroyed. Three vehicles, an artillery gun, one electronic warfare system, two UAV control posts, and 91 enemy shelters were damaged. A total of 286 UAVs of various types were destroyed or suppressed.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy conducted no assault operations.
Fighting in the south
In the Huliaipole sector, the Defence Forces repelled eight enemy attacks towards Yehorivka, Nove Zaporizhzhia and Kosivtseve, and near Verkhnia Tersa, Hirke and Bilohiria.
In the Orikhiv sector, the occupiers conducted three assault operations, attacking near Mala Tokmachka.
In the Prydniprovske sector, the occupiers conducted no assault operations.
No significant changes in the situation were reported in other sectors.
