In Kupiansk sector, Russians may step up assaults using motorcycles and ATVs, - 116th SMB

With the onset of fall and the falling of leaves, it is becoming more difficult for Russian troops to approach Ukrainian positions unnoticed. Therefore, the occupiers may resort to rapid assaults on motorcycles and ATVs in an attempt to traverse open terrain and a wide area of engagement.
According to Censor.NET, Valerii Kiselov, head of the communications department of the 116th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the 10th Army Corps, spoke about this on Espreso and Slawa.TV.
According to Kiselov, the situation in the Kupiansk region remains tense. Russian troops are constantly attempting to push Ukrainian defenders out of their positions.
Among the occupiers’ main targets remain Kupiansk and Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, which is of significant logistical importance.
At the same time, the change of season is affecting the tactics of Russian assault groups. As the leaves fall, it becomes more difficult for the enemy to use vegetation for camouflage and to approach Ukrainian positions undetected.
The occupiers may switch to attacks using light vehicles
Based on experience from previous years, Russian forces may once again resort to rapid attacks using motorcycles and ATVs.
"A phase of rapid attacks is about to begin: motorcycles, ATVs—wherever possible," the officer noted.
He explained that due to the wide area of fire, it is difficult for Russian troops to reach close-quarters combat with Ukrainian positions on foot. Therefore, they attempt to quickly traverse open terrain using vehicles.
However, such assault groups become targets for Ukrainian FPV drones.
"We’ll see these ‘Mad Max’-style scenes, where a certain number of attackers rush in on motorcycles or ATVs, and our FPV drones take them out," Kiselov concluded.
