Iran welcomed the Democrats’ victory in US Congress and urged Trump to refrain from further strikes

Iran congratulated the Democratic Party on its victory in the midterm U.S. congressional elections. Officials in Tehran believe the election results reflect Americans' dissatisfaction with the war against Iran launched by President Donald Trump's administration.
According to Censor.NET, Reuters reports this.
In Tehran, the election was seen as a signal against the war
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the speaker of Iran's parliament and the country's chief negotiator, stated that American voters had spoken out against the war.
"Conscience or the value of life—Americans have said: NO TO WAR, and we support this message," he wrote on the social media platform X.
Galibaf called on Washington to heed the voters' views and refrain from launching new attacks on Iran.
At the same time, Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei does not expect the election results to change U.S. policy. He warned Washington against making any concessions to Tehran and stated that the end of the era of American "hegemony" is approaching.
According to Khamenei, hopes that the U.S. attitude toward Iran will change due to a shift in political forces in Congress are misguided.
Iran fears new strikes from the U.S.
According to the results of the midterm elections, the Democratic Party won a majority in both chambers of the U.S. Congress—the Senate and the House of Representatives. The Republicans lost control of both chambers.
One of the reasons for the support of the Democrats was Americans' dissatisfaction with the Trump administration's economic policies and the rising cost of living. In particular, the war with Iran led to higher gas prices, which became one of the issues in the election campaign.
At the same time, two high-ranking Iranian officials stated that Tehran fears a military response from Trump following the Republicans’ defeat. Iranian authorities do not rule out the possibility that the U.S. president could order new strikes against the country.
