Without ceasefire, negotiations will yield no results, - Strack-Zimmermann

It is not worth expecting quick results from the talks in Abu Dhabi until a ceasefire is reached.
According to Censor.NET, Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, chair of the European Parliament’s Committee on Security and Defense, stated this in an interview with Ukrinform.
"I don't have high hopes for these talks. There have been so many rounds of negotiations, yet there is still no ceasefire. The key will be for the guns to finally fall silent, and for the talks to take place on that basis. In any case, that is what will be decisive," the MEP noted.
She added that Putin continues to talk about negotiations, even as Russia bombs Ukraine. According to her, the goal of these strikes is to devastate the country and force millions of people to flee, since it is much easier to seize a devastated country.
"That, in fact, is where the tragedy lies. That is why we must not be naive. We must remain very vigilant and continue, as Europeans, to stand by Ukraine," emphasized Strack-Zimmermann.
Putin must stand trial in The Hague
Separately, the chair of the European Parliament committee explained why she calls Russian dictator Putin a murderer.
"I don't want what's happening there to be downplayed. Ukraine is the victim. Putin is responsible for the killings, the abductions, and the arson. That is why he is a murderer, and he must stand trial before the International Criminal Court in The Hague," said Shtrak-Zimmermann.
