Ukraine will continue striking Russian oil refineries in response to attacks on its energy infrastructure – Zelenskyy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine was continuing its operation against Russia’s oil refining industry in response to Russian strikes on energy infrastructure. Further responses to Russian attacks have been determined.
He reported this on November 6 following a briefing by Mykhailo Drapatyi and Yevhenii Khmara, according to Censor.NET.
"Systematic" strikes
The president thanked units of the Defense and Security Forces for the "accuracy" and "systematic nature" of their long-range strikes. According to him, the operation against Russia’s oil refining industry continues in response to Russian strikes on Ukrainian energy facilities.
"Our power plants, power grids, heating systems, water supply facilities and civilian logistics are all under constant attack by Shaheds and missiles. The Russians are not changing the nature of their aggressive actions, have rejected the de-escalation steps discussed by our partners and are counting on further strikes. We have determined our next responses," he wrote.
Oleshky and peace
Zelenskyy recalled the humanitarian operation in Oleshky:
"As the experience of the humanitarian operation in Oleshky showed, if Putin decides to stop the war, the guns can fall silent. Ukraine does not need to be convinced that peace is needed as soon as possible. We want it. Russia needs to decide that the time for war has run out."
- According to Zelenskyy, it is "long-range sanctions", "mid-range strikes" and pressure from partners on Russia that create an incentive for genuine negotiations. He thanked everyone who is helping.
