Zelenskyy raises possibility of replacing Kyivvodokanal management over slow pace of work

Kyivvodokanal

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the management of Kyivvodokanal could be replaced if the company fails to work quickly enough amid power supply problems in the capital.

According to Censor.NET, he made the remarks in a television interview with TSN.

Zelenskyy demands faster work from Kyivvodokanal

"The water utility should not be operating like this. With all due respect to the people there. I don't know them. They need to do more and work faster. If the water utility's management needs replacing, let them replace it," Zelenskyy said.

He also noted that Kyiv faced the most difficult power supply situation.

According to the president, Russian strikes damaged connections between power generation facilities and the capital. As a result, electricity cannot always be transmitted to consumers in Kyiv, even when it is available in the national power system.

Repair crews work daily to restore power

Zelenskyy said repair crews were working every day to restore the electricity supply.

He also cited an incident in which residents blocked a road over a prolonged power outage.

According to the head of state, police helped bring in workers to repair an energy facility. When residents saw that work had begun, they reopened the road to traffic.
