Draft budget-2017 submitted to Rada
The government bill on the state budget for 2017 has been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
As reported by Censor.NET, corresponding bill No. 5000 has been published on the website of the Ukrainian parliament Thursday night. However, neither the text of the draft law nor its enclosures have yet been made public.After tackling substantive aspects, the draft law on State Budget of Ukraine for 2017 was previously approved at a meeting of the Ukrainian government Thursday evening.
Earlier, while talking to reporters on Thursday afternoon, Volodymyr Hroisman noted that the draft budget took into account government's proposals to increase salaries for teachers and doctors. The energy, agricultural, and national security and defense sectors were named among other budget's priorities along with continuation of the decentralization.
According to the Ukrainian legislation, the government submits the draft state budget for the next year to the parliament before Sept. 15 of the current year. However, the Cabinet has been submitting it to the Verkhovna Rada and immediately withdrawing to finalize each time over about past 10 years.
