One Ukrainian soldier killed, one wounded over past day, - ATO speaker

One Ukrainian soldier was killed and one injured in the course of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) Oct. 18.

Spokesperson for the Defense Ministry on ATO matters Andrii Lysenko announced at a briefing today, Censor.NET reports.

"One Ukrainian soldier was killed and one received injuries in action over the past 24-hour period. These casualties were caused by the enemy artillery strike on Lebedynske," he said.

As reported earlier, Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council estimated 10,000 Ukrainians were killed and more than 20,000 wounded since the beginning of the anti-terrorist operation in Ukraine's Donbas in 2014.
