NAPC faces halt in operation over cases against agency employees, - Riaboshapka
NAPC member Ruslan Riaboshapka said on air of Hromadske, Censor.NET reports.
A probe has been launched against Oleksandr Skopych in relation to his appointment procedure. The Kyiv prosecutor's office is also investigating Riaboshapka's possible unjust enrichment.
"I'm worried that this [NAPC's halt in operation - ed.] may happen. The consequences will be grave," he said.
Riaboshapka noted that the suspension of two agency's members will lead to its inability to take decisions over the lack of quorum.
Commenting on a statement by Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko on PGO's plans to examine recently filed income declarations, Riaboshapka said that law does not entitle the prosecutor's office to conduct the check.
"The point is that if the NAPC finds elements of crime in an income statement, it can choose to send materials to several authorities, for example, the NABU (National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine) or the National Police," he said.
