Cabinet extends duties on imports from Russia until late 2017
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine ruled to extend the government resolution No. 1146 of Dec. 30, 2015, which cancels free trade between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, for one year, until Dec. 31, 2017.
As reported by Censor.NET, the decision was taken at today's Cabinet meeting.The free trade with Russia was suspended for one year on Jan 2, 2016. Since then, the usual import duty rates established by Ukraine's customs tariff were applied to all goods of Russian origin instead of the reduced. The free trade agreement with the country was suspended.
The decree was initially valid through Dec. 31, 2016.
