Explosion rocks store in Rivne, kills one, - National Police

An explosion occurred inside a store on Stepan Bandera Street in Rivne at 5 a.m. on Jan 9, which was closed for renovations. The crime scene team has found a mutilated body in the basement.

As reported by Censor.NET, spokesperson for the National Police Main Directorate in the Rivne region Halyna Sernovka said on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

According to her, the explosion was probably caused by a grenade.

The deceased person has been identified. He turned out to be a 26-year-old resident of Rivne previously convicted for property crimes.

According to Charivne news outlet, the grenade blew up in the man's hand.
