"DPR's" gun spotter gets six years in jail, - prosecutor's office
A resident of Avdiivka charged with aiding "Donetsk People's Republic" militants has been sentenced to six years in jail.
Censor.NET reports citing the Donetsk region prosecutor's office press service.
"A 57-year-old resident of Avdiivka, during July-August, 2015, regularly informed militants on phone about the deployment sites and movement of troops and military equipment of Ukraine's armed forces and other military units involved in the anti-terrorist operation in the city of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. It has also been found that the man specified coordinates of Ukrainian positions to enemy gunmen," the message notes.
The perpetrator was detained by the Security Service in October 2015.
Charged with offence under part 1, article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (assisting a terrorist group or terrorist organization), he has been sentenced to six years in jail.
