Russia a threat to international order, Freeland says to Tillerson
As reported by Censor.NET citing National Post, this was said by Canada Foreign Minister Chrtystia Freeland after her meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
Freeland had a "substantive" discussion with Tillerson on Russia and Ukraine, the medium reports. During the discussion, Freeland conveyed Canada's "strong view" that Russia's invasion and annexation of Crimea was illegal "and a threat to the international order," she said.
On Jan. 13, Canada said it would not lift its sanctions against Russia as a reciprocal step to ease Russian measures against newly appointed Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland, who is banned from entering Russia.
