UK’s Johnson says pressure on Russia should be increased
British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson stressed the need to stop further Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
As reported by Censor.NET citing Ukrainski Novyny, Johnson said at a joint press conference with Foreign Ministers of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin and Poland Witold Waszczykowski in Kyiv on Wednesday.The diplomat said continuation of the Russian aggression that was underway in Ukraine must not be allowed. According to him, the British authorities will never recognize annexation of Crimea while they believe the pressure on Russia should be stepped up, not the other way around.
Johnson also acknowledged progress in Ukraine reforms, namely in anti-corruption efforts so much welcomed by the U.K.
British foreign minister said he and Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko discussed possible U.K.'s aid in preparations for Eurovision 2017 international song contest.
