Ukraine incurs 2-4B hryvnia monthly loss over Donbas blockade, - Hroisman
The energy blockade in the Donbas has resulted in Ukraine losing 2 to 4 billion hryvnia ($73.7-147.3 million) each month.
This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman, Censor.NET reports citing the Cabinet press service."Today, we are losing 2-4 billion hryvnia every month. This is the price of losses from the energy blockade," Hroisman said.
He also opposed the purchase of coal in Russia.
"If someone thinks we have to buy coal from the Russian Federation, I am decisively against it. Because this is what I call the trade with the enemy, who we have to pay money to buy a product we are seriously dependent on," Hroisman added.
On Jan. 25, anti-terrorist operation (ATO) veterans blocked the Luhansk-Popasna haul, launching a trade blockade of the terrorist-held areas in the Donbas.
On Feb. 2, participants of the trade blockade barred another railroad track near Bakhmut.
On Feb. 16, protesters started to shut down highways.
