Kyiv's Obolonskyi district court to try Yanukovych
The Appeals Court of Kyiv has instructed the Obolonskyi district court of Kyiv to hear the treason case against former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.
This was announced by Presiding Judge Stepan Hladii, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.With this decision, the appeals court has granted the motion by the head of the Pechersk district court of Kyiv Ruslan Kozlov on changing the territorial jurisdiction of the case.
The Yanukovych's lawyers insisted that the Pechersk district court should consider the case against the ex-president.
