Yanukovych wants Ukraine to ask Russia for his questioning

Obolonskyi district court of Kyiv continues preparation hearings into the case of former president Viktor Yanukovych's high treason.
Censor.NET's correspondent reports.Prior to the hearing, Yanukovych's lawyer Vitalii Serdiuk showed journalists a letter signed by his client, the fugitive president. In the letter, Yanukovych stresses he is ready to participate in the hearing but requests it to be organized through the system of international assistance, and that the state of Ukraine officially requests Russia's Foreign Ministry to organize an official questioning of Yanukovych.

"He is in Rostov [Russia - ed.], ready to take part in the call, he signed the documents. The only thing that hinders the process is the lack of a request to the Russia's Foreign Ministry," Serdiuk said.
