Cabinet increasing minimum pension to 1,452 hryvnia, - Vice PM Rozenko

Effective Oct. 1, a minimum monthly pension will be increased up to 1,452 hryvnia ($55), not 1,373 hryvnia, as planned earlier.
This was announced by Vice PM Pavlo Rozenko on Facebook after consultations with members of the parliament, Censor.NET reports."Today [Oct. 1 - ed.] at the meeting with MPs, leaders of factions, we discussed the pension reform and made another important decision -- that we are ready and we have the resources to increase the minimum pension not up to 1,373 hryvnia as we planned earlier but up to 1,452 hryvnia," Rozenko wrote.
Thus the increase will be not 60 hryvnia, but 140 hryvnia, the vice prime minister said.
"This means that 8 million retired persons, whose pension payments are calculated based on the minimum, will receive a bigger increase," Rozenko said.
