Voting for the best postage stamp of 2023 has ended in Ukraine. It was recognized as the work "Eternal Memory!" based on a sketch by Honored Artist of Ukraine Oleh Shupliak.
This was reported by Ukrposhta, Censor.NET reports.
The miniature "Eternal Memory!" is based on the painting "Sorrow" (2016) by Honored Artist of Ukraine Oleh Shupliak. It depicts a Cossack bandura player bowing his head over the graves of his comrades, while cranes fly above him.
Ukrainians recognized "Ukrainian Christmas Carols at the Kyiv Cave Monastery" as the best souvenir sheet. The issue is dedicated to a historic event - the anniversary of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine's Christmas service in the Assumption Cathedral of the Kyiv Cave Monastery, which celebrated its 950th anniversary last year.
"The philatelic art of Ukraine has reflected the zeal, thirst for victory, defiance, pain and dreams of Ukrainians in 2023, the second year of full-scale war," Ukrposhta added.
