The Defense Ministry demonstrated another fact that confirms the delivery of military equipment to terrorists in the Eastern Ukraine from Russia. The terrorists attacked the Ukrainian soldiers in the Donetsk region using an armored KAMAZ truck. Trucks of that type are not produced in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense states on its official Facebook page, Censor.NET informs

One of the Ukrainian military units, which is located in the town of Artemovsk in the Donetsk region, was attacked by the terrorists on a truck and two cars at midnight June 8 to 9, 2014. They used automatic weapons, under-barrel grenade launchers and RPGs. The Ukrainian soldiers repelled the attack and forced the militants to retreat after sustained combat. They captured the KAMAZ truck that belonged to the terrorists. The servicemen searched the vehicle and found a 12.7 mm machine gun "Kord", three 30 mm automatic grenade launchers AGS-17 with ammunition and the flag of the Russian Federation, the report says.

The KAMAZ truck has armored windscreen that can be clearly seen on the pictures taken after battle. It also has armored sides. The cabin top has a special hole that can be used, for example, to install a machine gun. Ukrainian soldiers say that they managed to stop the KAMAZ only after hitting the engine and the wheels by 7,62 gauge ammunition. Usual 5,45 gauge ammunition made no harm to it.

"The trucks of that type are not produced in Ukraine. Meanwhile, the Russian JSC "KAMAZ" does produce trucks of this type and some of them are armored, " the Ukrainian Defense Ministry insists.

"The official website of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, posted a message on June 10, 2014 at 10.15 containing photos, which says: "More than 500 drivers of the Russian military base in Armenia will learn to operate the new "Mustang" trucks (message prepared by the press service of the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces). The photo of a KAMAZ truck from the Russian Defense Ministry Website and the pictures of the militants' truck captured by the Ukrainian army in Artemovsk are surprisingly identical. The headquarters of the Southern Military District is located in Rostov-on-Don. Incidentally, the camp where terrorists are trained for operations on the territory of Ukraine is situated near this city according to the Ukrainian intelligence.
