A previously unseen unit of the Russian army was spotted in the Rostov region - a division of the 5th Tank Brigade of the Eastern Military District 36th all-arms army / military installation #46108, place of permanent deployment – Buryatia, Ulan-Ude, Divisionnaya station.
This is stated by blogger Irakli Komakhidze on Informnapalm, Censor.NET reports.
Judging from the acquired photos and information, the consolidated unit of the 5th tank brigade was deployed to the Rostov region recently, in late October (or early November), the blogger notes.
"Estimated composition is a battalion tactical group (BTG) which includes tank (T-72), artillery (SP artillery gun Akatsiya) and motorized rifle (BMP) units, staffed mainly by contract soldiers from Tuva and Buryatia. To date, the BTG is deployed in a field camp between Matveyev Kurgan and Myasnikovsky district of the Rostov region, from a strategic point of view, a convenient place for future move to Mariupol or Donetsk direction," Komakhidze wrote.
The BMP inscription reads "Heading to Kyiv".
"This is the first division of the Eastern Military District, which will complement my list on the composition of the invading forces of Rostov Russian Armed Forces group," the blogger notes.
