Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand visited Irpin and stated that Russia must be held accountable for its war crimes.

"In Irpin, I saw evidence of Russia's horrific attacks on Ukraine. Houses have turned into ruins. Burnt-out cars that once belonged to families now lie in twisted piles. We have seen holes in the ground where buildings once stood. Russia must answer - and will answer - for its crimes," Anand said.
