New satellite images of Bakhmut have been released, showing the extent of destruction in the city over the past year.
CNN journalist Gianluca Mezzofiore showed the pictures of Maxar Technologies, reports Censor.NЕТ with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
The photos show how green and lush the city was in May last year and how it looks now. The photos show destroyed educational institutions, a church, apartment buildings and private houses.
"No trees and brownish/reddish gravel covers the entire area," the journalist added.
Other images show a destroyed radio tower, university buildings in Bakhmut, and the satellite also captured the destroyed Palace of Culture and the city council.
Separately, general photos of Bakhmut were published. The first photo showed the city on May 8, 2022, and the second was taken on May 15, 2023.
