In the Mykolaiv region, 31 settlements were partially flooded as a result of the Russian explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, and access to the village of Afanasivka in the Snihuriv community was completely cut off.
This is stated by State Emergency Service, reports Censor.NЕТ.
"As a result of the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station and the rise in the water level in the Dnipro riverbed, the level of the Bug estuary, the Pivdennyi Buh river, the Ingul river, the Ingulets river and the Vysun river rose, partially flooding 31 settlements (540 buildings, 856 gardens, 549 households). Access to Afanasivka village of Snihurivka TG, where 379 residents live, was completely cut off.
Two operational groups of rescuers are monitoring the situation and clarifying information. Four motorized pumps have been deployed to serve as emergency pumps at the pumping station of the backup water intake in Mykolaiv," the SES said.
