During his visit to Ukraine, Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar visited the sites of Russian crimes in Bucha together with Ukrainian Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin.
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, Censor.NET reports.
"Today Bucha is a free and safe city. However, we will never forget the terrible massacres of civilians committed by Russian troops here," said Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin.
The Prosecutor General told the Prime Minister that "more than 1,400 civilians were killed in the Bucha district, and many more were tortured".
He noted that "the systematic nature of these crimes indicates that the aggressor is persecuting Ukrainians because of their national identity and pro-Ukrainian position. Similar cases are recorded in other liberated cities".
"Ukraine has two main goals: to stop Russian aggression and to put an end to Russia's impunity for international crimes. The Kremlin regime is a threat to the whole world. Therefore, the entire world must act together and in a coordinated manner to bring the regime's leaders and their accomplices to justice for all the evil they have done," Kostin said.
