SSU CI exposed a traitor who voluntarily cooperated with the enemy during the temporary occupation of the right-bank part of Kherson region.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the SSU press centre.
The person involved was the former head of one of the local departments of the Kherson Regional Centre for Disease Control and Prevention.
"After the seizure of the region, she was one of the first to support the Russian invaders and offer them her assistance in spreading the Kremlin regime in the occupied territory. For this, in June 2022, she was appointed head of the "sanitary and epidemiological station" in the then-occupied Beryslav," the statement said.
It is noted that in this "position" she forced her former subordinates to join the ranks of the hostile pseudo-institution. In the fake medical institution, she promised Russian "salaries" and loyalty from the invaders.
In case of disagreement, the collaborator threatened to "report" to the punitive authorities of the Russian Federation as a member of the resistance movement.
After the liberation of the region, the offender fled to a village in the Bila Tserkva district of Kyiv region, where she tried to "lay low" to avoid justice.
SSU counter-intelligence officers established her whereabouts anyway.
During the searches of the defendant's apartment, computer equipment and documentation confirming her cooperation with the occupiers were found.
The SSU investigators have served her a notice of suspicion under Part 5 Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaboration). The choice of a measure of restraint is being decided.
The offender faces up to 10 years in prison.
