The commander of the Ground Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi visited the soldiers in the Lyman-Kupiansk direction.
This was reported by the press service of the Ground Forces, Censor.NET reports.
"The situation in this sector remains difficult but under control. The enemy does not stop its active hostilities. It constantly moves up the reserves and does not pay attention to heavy losses, both in personnel and equipment. The occupation forces are trying to break through our defenses in order to get directly to Kupiansk with its subsequent blockade and encirclement," the message said.
During a meeting with brigade commanders and staff officers, Sirskyi resolved urgent issues of the effectiveness of fire damage to the enemy, reinforcement of units with reserves, logistical support and many others.
"We continue to conduct active defense. Our goal is to inflict maximum losses on the enemy, hold our lines and positions, restore them, and in some areas conduct offensive operations," he said.
Also, during the working visit, the Commander met with servicemen who distinguished themselves in battles, thanked them for their heroism, steadfastness and courage, handed over awards of the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, valuable gifts and certificates for cash prizes.
