A 28-year-old junior sergeant Mykola Mialkovskyi was killed while performing a combat mission.

"My son died as a hero while performing his sacred duty for the freedom of Ukraine. This is a very high price for me. My only, best son in the world! On the first day of the war, he wrote an application at his job at the Lublin Municipal Council and came home to defend Ukraine. For me, this is a feat and a decision of a real man. My heart is broken. You have always been an example and inspiration for me," said the defender's mother, Tatiana Mialkovska.
The mother of the fallen soldier added that on December 6, Mykola will be brought home to Lutsk on a shield. The funeral will take place on Thursday, December 7, at 12.00 in the Central Cathedral.
