After his official visit to Norway, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the U.S. Army Europe and Africa Command in Wiesbaden, Germany.
The President met with the head of the U.S. European Command and Supreme Allied Commander Europe, General Christopher Cavoli, the commander of the U.S. Army in Europe and Africa, General Darryl Williams, and the commander of the Security Assistance Group for Ukraine (SAGU), Lieutenant General Antonio Aguto, Censor.NET reports with reference to the President's website.
During the meeting, they discussed the work of the Security Assistance Group for Ukraine, as well as the specifics of the logistics of ammunition and military equipment supply, repair and maintenance.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also spoke with the Ukrainian military, who are working in Wiesbaden as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's operational group under the Security Assistance Group.
Representatives of the Armed Forces are involved in coordinating the supply of material and technical assistance from partner countries to the Ukrainian Defense Forces, training of the Defense Forces personnel in the territory of partner countries. They also coordinate the repair and maintenance of Western military equipment provided by Ukraine's partners.
"I am honored to be here today to thank every soldier for their service in defense of our country. I am very glad that you are working as a team together with our partners, our true friends. I wish you only victory. This is the most important thing. It is the beginning of life and the future," the President said.
