Consequences of enemy shelling in Izium region: two dead, house completely destroyed. PHOTOS
Two civilians died as a result of hostile shelling in Izium district. Under the procedural supervision of the Izium District Prosecutor’s Office of Kharkiv Region, a pre-trial investigation was launched into the violation of the laws and customs of war combined with premeditated murder.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press centre of the Prosecutor General's Office.
According to the investigation, on 31 December, at around 00:20, the village of Borova, Izyum district, came under fire from the Russian Armed Forces.
A residential building was completely destroyed.
"A 55-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man were killed, and rescuers removed their bodies from the rubble. A number of nearby private households and outbuildings were damaged. Law enforcers have preliminarily established that the enemy shelled the village with multiple rocket launchers," the statement said.
Prosecutors, in cooperation with police investigators, are taking all measures to document war crimes committed by representatives of the armed forces of the aggressor state.
