On January 2, during the shelling of Kyiv, an enemy missile hit one of the medical facilities where wounded and injured Ukrainian defenders are undergoing rehabilitation. Part of the building was damaged.
This was reported by the Medical Forces Command, Censor.NET reports.
As noted, the enemy missile, fortunately, did not explode. However, the part that got stuck in the floor of the first floor had a warhead. It was decided to evacuate the seriously injured patients to another medical facility, while the rest were transferred to safe places.
The sappers started working and removed the warhead. They also removed all other large missile debris from the facility.
Thanks to the prompt efforts of the logistics forces, the roof of the building damaged by the missile has been covered with a special tent. As of the evening, the medical facility that was damaged by the enemy missile is already operating in normal mode.
There were no casualties in the medical facility as a result of the shelling.
As a reminder, on January 2, according to the State Emergency Service, a Russian missile attack killed 5 people and injured 119 others.
The forces and means of the Air Force, in cooperation with the units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, destroyed 72 air targets: 10 out of 10 X-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, 59 out of 70 X-101/X-555/X-55 cruise missiles, and 3 out of 3 Kalibr cruise missiles.
