SES: Five people were killed and 127 were injured as result of massive shelling of Ukraine on January 2 (updated)

As a result of a massive Russian missile attack on January 2, 5 people were killed.

This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service, Censor.NET reports.

Rescuers are currently extinguishing fires at two locations in Kyiv's Podilskyi district. In Kharkiv, work is underway to dismantle the emergency structures of a residential building.

"In total, 5 people have been killed and 119 others were injured as a result of the attack in Ukraine so far. More than 500 rescuers and 111 pieces of equipment were engaged in the massive missile attack on sites," the statement said.

As of 5 p.m., the number of victims increased to 127.
