USAID donates 57 cogeneration units to Ukraine. PHOTOS

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has transferred 57 cogeneration units with a capacity of 50 kV to 1500 kV to Ukraine.

This was reported by the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.

"To ensure stable heat and power supply in the winter, USAID is purchasing 91 cogeneration units for 32 cities in Ukraine and two universities. To date, 57 of these units have already been delivered, ranging in capacity from 50 kV to 1500 kV," the statement said.

As noted, this will enable heat supply companies to produce an additional 56.5 MW of electricity for their own needs and provide heat to approximately 1 million citizens and 960 social facilities. These include schools and hospitals, as well as other local critical infrastructure facilities, including water utilities.
