Two girls, aged 3 and 5, and their mother were returned from the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region. They could not leave on their own.
This was reported by the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.
The ministry said that a woman contacted the Ministry of Reintegration's hotline with a request to help evacuate her daughter and two young granddaughters, aged 3 and 5, from an occupied village in Kherson region, as they could not leave on their own.
The family's return was made possible thanks to the cooperation of representatives of the Ministry of Reintegration with the Ukrainian Child Rights Network.
"The preparation of the route took almost 10 days, and the journey took 5 days. The children and their mother have now successfully reached the government-controlled territory of Ukraine," the ministry said in a statement.
