Submarine of occupiers "Rostov-on-Don" was destroyed and "Triumph" SAM was damaged in Crimea - General Staff
Ukraine's defense forces struck at an enemy submarine and S-400 anti-aircraft missile system in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press center of the General Staff.
Thus, according to confirmed information, yesterday the missile troops, in cooperation with units of the Ukrainian Navy, significantly damaged 4 launchers of the Triumph air defense system.

In addition, the Russian Black Sea Fleet submarine Rostov-on-Don was successfully hit in the port of Sevastopol.
According to the General Staff, the boat sank on the spot as a result of the hit.
"The destruction of the Rostov-on-Don proves once again that there is no safe place for the Russian fleet in Ukrainian territorial waters of the Black Sea. We thank the Ukrainian servicemen for their professional work!" the General Staff emphasizes.

The B-237 Rostov-on-Don submarine (Kilo class in NATO classification) is one of four Kilo-class submarines capable of using Kalibr missiles.
"Rostov-on-Don was commissioned on 26 December 2014.
On 13 September 2023, the vessel sustained significant damage as a result of a Ukrainian missile attack.
It was subsequently repaired and tested in the waters of Sevastopol Harbour. The cost of the submarine is estimated at $300 million.
