Two RGD-5 grenades, two detonators, and 420 cartridges for Kalashnikov rifle were found in a man's backpack.

According to the report, a 29-year-old Luhansk region resident was detained. The explosives found in his backpack were sent for examination. Law enforcement officers are establishing the origin of the explosives. Police seized weapons and ammunition in Obolon district in Kyiv. PHOTOS

Criminal proceedings with preliminary qualification under part 1 of art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - "illegal handling of weapons, ammunition, or explosives" - was opened. The article provides for imprisonment for a term of three to seven years.
