Poet and prose writer Oleksii Bezpaltsev was killed while performing a combat mission in the Kharkiv region.
This was reported by PEN Ukraine with reference to the writer's friends, Censor.NET informs.
The poet took part in hostilities in the Pokrovsk direction for about a year, and in recent months he has been fighting in the Kupiansk direction.
Oleksii Bezpaltsev is a well-known representative of the Kharkiv literary scene. His work includes two collections of short stories, participation in literary slams and numerous emotional performances that have been remembered by many connoisseurs of the Ukrainian word.
According to Chytomo, the poet died a few days ago. He was only 34 years old, but in his short life he made a significant contribution to the development of modern Ukrainian literature.
